University of Memphis Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium Expansion

The Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium expansion at the University of Memphis is a transformative renovation designed to modernize the venue’s functionality, enhance the fan experience, and support year-round events. The project includes major upgrades such as a new West Side Tower featuring premium seating areas, expanded club levels, and a first-of-its-kind suspended kitchen to serve upgraded hospitality spaces.

Architectural enhancements include a widened north end tunnel to better accommodate concerts and large-scale event logistics, along with improved concourses, plazas, and suite environments. Structurally, the project incorporates significant steel work to support new multi-level suite towers, expanded club facilities, and a massive LED videoboard spanning more than 260 feet. Overall, the expansion strengthens the stadium’s role as a multipurpose athletic and entertainment hub while preserving its historic character.
