The Nestlé Purina wet dog food facility in Batavia, Ohio, was constructed to increase production capacity and meet the growing demand for pet food in the United States. The large-scale manufacturing plant supports major Purina brands and provides about 300 jobs for the local community. The structural steel package includes 7,253 tons of structural steel with heavy braced frames and long span girders capable of supporting heavy industrial equipment and large open production areas.
